Happy Friday!

The best day of the week has finally arrived! I have decided that every Friday I will be posting what I was loving in the midst of my busy school week. Things can get pretty hectic very quickly as a student, but it is most important to always do things that you love and keep you grounded - whether it is drinking a glass of your favourite wine with dinner to taking a relaxing hot shower at the end of the night with your most delicious smelling soap. Its so important to honour your body and mind when you're in university, and to surround yourself with as much positive energy as possible.

My favourite thing this week was these DIY face/body scrubs, the one is Green Tea face scrub and the other is Coconut Coffee body scrub. Not only are they super easy and cost efficient, but they work wonders on your skin. The green tea face scrub has gotten rid of some problem acne I was having this week and made my face feel and look so smooth. The coconut coffee body scrub has the same exfoliating effect but on your body - the more coffee you add, the more exfoliation you get!

If you don't already know it, I am a total sucker for a good burger. Last weekend I was in Toronto and got the chance to have dinner with my brother, at a Vegan restaurant called Fresh. A burger lover at a VEGAN restaurant? You got that right, and it was probably one of the best burgers I have ever had! The "patty" itself was made out of almonds and other kinds of grains, topped with lettuce, tomato, cilantro, been sprouts and a thai peanut sauce. Ah-mazing! I need more now!

Last but not least, my beloved morning coffee. Every morning I wake up a substanstive amount of time before I need to start getting ready for my day just to have my morning coffee, catch up on my social media and my blogs. There is nothing more peaceful than this in the mornings.

So what are your top favourite things of your week? Have an amazing weekend!

Hopeless Romantic

Love. Affection. Laughter. Romance, I'm a sucker for it all, the biggest hopeless romantic.

There is nothing I love more than being held and kissed by my man, eating or cooking delicious food together and even just being together and enjoying each other's presence. Of course, I do enjoy Valentine's Day and all the love that is spread throughout the day, whether it's a small gift, flowers or a romantic dinner for two. Nevertheless, Valentine's Day shouldn't be celebrated only once a year. Every day in a relationship should be Valentine's Day, every day should be spent loving your significant other and showing it to them. You shouldn't have to prove how much you love someone on one day of the year.

I am lucky enough to be spoiled everyday by my man, and sprinkled with affection whenever he's around me.

For our Valentine's Day this year we unfortunately won't be spending it together, but we celebrated early with a delicious Italian dinner at Nico's in Little Italy Windsor, followed by a bottle of wine and some cuddles and a movie before heading our separate ways this morning.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day filled with romance, and you are reminded just how loved you are.

Nailed It.

There is nothing more irritating to me than seeing chipped, dirty, chewed up nails on girls. I think it may be because I worked at a restaurant for five years and could never have my nails done that I am totally OCD about them now. Experimenting with different polishes and colours is always fun for me.  My nails will always depend on the season or what I have going on that week.
Right now, my nails are currently this matte grey with a silver sparkle nail.

There is just something about a little sparkle that is just so girly and timeless.

What I've Been Eating Lately...

One of my favourite things to do is search through recipe books and even the Internet to find new and delicious things to make. As a university student, it can be hard to make good, healthy meals sometimes - but eating good doesn't always have to be hard.

These banana peanut butter oat "cookies" are super easy for a snack when you're on the run or on campus all day.

Le Début

Bonjour.

I wish I could tell you that I was going to write this entire post in French, but I am unfortunately not. After being on various blogs and following various blogs as a teenage girl, I figured I should just start my own, and share with you my daily interactions with the world. Over the past years I have found a love for different forms of social media, and also found that writing down what is happening in your life can be very therapeutic. Throughout the past year I have had quite the adventure in finding myself, what works for me, and my true passions in life. There is nothing more satisfying and relieving for yourself, and others to know that you are doing well for yourself and truly found what you love the most in life. I can't promise you that I will be travelling all over the world and eating different foods and drinking different wines in foreign countries, BUT I can promise you that I will share the delicious foods and wines I will try in the comfort of my own country, as well as the fashion I am currently loving and hating and also share with you my one true love of beauty products... So without further adieu, I welcome you to the life of Not Another Blonde Joke.

Salute,

E xx
